We are looking for a Senior Interior Designer who can take a residential remodeling project from the internal Sales handoff through a polished, construction-ready handoff to our Project Manager. You will lead the design, guide the client, solve the details early, and help make what can be an overwhelming remodeling process feel clear, organized, and fun.

And here's an important distinction: you own the design - not the construction. Once the project is handed off, the Project Manager runs the build. You stay available for design clarification when needed, but you are not expected to coordinate trades, schedules, deliveries, or day-to-day construction.

What You'll Get to Do

• Lead homeowners through the design process from kickoff through final approvals.
• Turn ideas, inspiration, and real-life needs into thoughtful, functional, buildable spaces.
• Create space plans, elevations, cabinetry designs, renderings, finish schedules, specifications, and construction-ready documentation.
• Guide selections for cabinetry, countertops, flooring, tile, paint, plumbing, lighting, hardware, and other finishes.
• Keep design decisions, pricing, material information, and documentation organized and accurate.
• Collaborate with Sales, Project Managers, drafters, vendors, and trade partners to solve questions before construction begins.
• Deliver a complete handoff so the production team can move forward with confidence.
• Mentor and support other members of the design team and help us continually improve how we work.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of full-time residential interior design experience; remodeling experience is strongly preferred.
• A portfolio that demonstrates strong residential design ability and technical competence.
• Strong knowledge of cabinetry, residential construction, building codes, clearances, materials, and installation requirements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D design/rendering software such as Chief Architect, 2020 Design, Revit, or equivalent.
• Excellent communication, presentation, organization, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive, collaborative attitude and the ability to manage multiple design projects and deadlines.
• Reliable transportation for local project-site and vendor visits; mileage reimbursed per company policy.
• A bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field is preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
